Another Whaleshark!!!!

Whaleshark Season has definately started!!! We've had 7 dives with whalesharks this month!!!

Today 2 of our boats went to Chumpon pinacle and found a whaleshark there - they did two dives, and snorkeled with it on their surface interval!!!

This afternoon our dive noats went back there on the off chance it might have stayed - and guess what??? 2 more whaleshark dives!!!! Great!!!!!

Robyn's Camera!

One of Divemaster trainees is now a divemaster!!!! Hurray!!! Robyn just left, but before she went she left a load of photos from her camera....here's some of em......

DM CHALLENGE

These shots are of Robyn, Hanaah, and Charlie's DM challenge - a big party we throw at the end of a Divemaster course to celebrate their passing off - what a night!!



UNDERWATER FESTIVAL AND 'Mr KOH TAO'

And these are from the Koh Tao Underwater festival - night 2!! There was a massive foam party, and a 'Mr Koh Tao' competition between all the divecenters - we put instructor Darren in for Big Blue, and he did an ace impression of Mitch Buchannon from Baywatch - as the photos show!!!

Koh Tao Underwater (Even More!!)

We just found a load more shots from different divesites around Koh Tao - here's some of the best of......

TURTLES!!!

Everyone loves turtles!! They make a good dive a great one! The first two photos are from 'Twins' divesite, while the second two are from White Rock. Both sites are great for all levels - they can be a wicked shallow dive, or you can get deeper if you branch away from the site a little. And the best thing is the variety of stuff you see there.......

MORE FROM TWINS.......

Blue spotted stingrays can be tough to find during the day - but they're usually there, under rocks n such. Much easier to find on night dives when they come out to feed!

You usually come accross a moray eel or two at Twins aswell - check out the eyes! What a minger!

MORE FROM WHITE ROCK.....

This fish pretty much owns White Rock!- Trevor the triggerfish!! renowned accross the island!! Triggerfish are really territorial, but great to look at - just, not too close!!

You get a lot of these big schools of small barracuda all around the divesites - but there's usually one on White Rock somewhere!! Really cool to swim with!!

SHOTS FROM CHUMPERS.....

Its got to be one of the best divesites we've got! - here's some of the photos we found.....

2 Butterfly fish cruising over the pinacle - these fish are so common around here we forget how beautifull they are - but these 2 look wicked!

One of the best things about Chumpon pinacle is the carpet of anemone's coating the top - and all of the resident anemone fish.

These last 3 shots show the Chumpon Pinacle batfish - they're great to see in the water, and so reliable! - They're always their! Cruising around the buoyline just as you drop down on the pinacle - in fact, we should give them names......

Wreck Day

The latest band of Divemaster Trainees just did their Wreck and Deep specialities with the team from MV Trident! Diving to 40 meters to check out a submarine wreck - 'The Torpedo'! Not got many photos, but a great time had, and great dives! Cheers to MV Trident for the fun, games and training!

Sonkran 2007!!!

What a day!! What a night!!! Thai New Year waterfight party!!!

Everything started around 10am, and went on through to the next morning!! A great time had by everyone, weapon of choice at Big Blue - bottles of ice water heh he!!! Pics to follow:
